Recently my wife and I booked an Air Malta Flyaway Tour to Paris. Being Flypass members and having accumulated a substantial number of KMiles, we asked Air Malta to upgrade our seats to Business class.
Without any justifiable reason Air Malta declined our request, but then obliged on payment of Lm60 each as advertised in their Flyaway brochure.
It is, therefore, quite obvious that Air Malta is ready to do anything for a petty amount of money but nothing as compensation to its loyal customers.
So I ask Air Malta, what is the point of becoming a Flypass member, trying to accumulate as many KMiles as possible by following their advice to earn KMiles as advertised in their newsletter Fly in Colours, if no use can be made of the KMiles earned? What can I do with the amount of KMiles accumulated?
The answer seems obvious. Discard them. Let's hope the advent of other airlines will stop Air Malta acting like Big Brother.
