New chairman for PBS editorial board

John Camilleri has been appointed chairman of the editorial board at Public Broadcasting Services, the state broadcaster.

Mr Camilleri who between 1987 and 1991 was private secretary to then Prime Minister Eddie Fenech Adami is a general manager of a private firm. Between 1992 and 1997, he was an executive director of AZAD and between 1995 and 1996 Telemalta chairman.

Mr Camilleri was a director of several government entities including the Freeport and Maltacom. He was also deputy chairman at Mid-Med Bank.

Mr Camilleri hold a Masters in human resources from Erasmus University of Rotterdam, Holland.
