The TV Unit of the Archdiocese of Malta has launched its fourth Christian Values Campaign, featuring a series of six 30-second TV spots to be aired on local TV stations from now until March.

This year's campaign will focus on various categories of Maltese society, with a different spot promoting human and Christian values being produced each month, said TV Unit executive coordinator Victor Formosa.

The campaign is perceived as an integral part of the mission of the TV Unit, which was set up in June 2003 to promote Christian and human values through various productions, he said. The first spot for this month focuses on parents and is entitled Jien Genitur (I am a parent), while other spots will highlight youths, the elderly, teachers, doctors and the citizen.

The spots are being produced by Vince Briffa from Picture Box MPS Ltd, and the campaign is being sponsored by APS Bank Ltd. The bank feels that the values being promoted are fundamental to Maltese society and are also embedded in the bank's social mission.

The cooperation of the local TV stations ensures that the message, with its intrinsic human and Christian values, will reach every home, Mr Formosa said.

The TV Unit is currently also producing two TV programmes, QalbinNies and Kelma tal-Mulej.
