Actress-singer-teacher Katherine Brown has just signed up with Alan Montanaro to join the acclaimed Helen O'Grady Academy.

The academy's development programme uses drama to encourage children to burst out of their shells in a positive and fun-filled environment.

Born in New York to an American father and a Maltese mother, Ms Brown has been teaching children for over 10 years and uses her theatre training as an integral part of her teaching technique.

The academy insists that all its teachers are fully trained and accredited in the teaching philosophy that has made the academy the success it is today.

"The Helen O'Grady Academy insists on someone who has the right measure of confidence, energy, enthusiasm and talent to carry out the jam-packed curriculum. Katherine has all this and had just completed her accreditation with flying colours," Mr Montanaro said.

Classes held weekly in Sliema, Cottonera, Zebbug, Attard and Birkirkara range from speech to movement to creative drama.

More information on the academy can be obtained by calling 7964 7239 or writing to alan@helenogradymalta.com.
