Where's Everybody and Ideas Alive Ltd have joined resources to form the Where's Everybody Broadcast Academy with the aim of providing training in the field of broadcasting.
Tourism and Culture Minister, Francis Zammit Dimech, said at the launch of the Academy at the Vivaldi Hotel in Paceville, that as the ministry responsible for broadcasting policy, it would welcome any initiative that was aimed at enhancing the level of broadcasting.
Dr Zammit Dimech said he believed that both Ideas Alive Ltd and Where's Everybody had a lot to offer in the field of broadcasting.
He added that training was indispensable in a situation where broadcasting is liberalised, and where there were four television stations and a record number of radio stations.
The Academy will also offer training in management through the Institute of Professional Development.
