Heartbroken dog

On Thursday, September 14, my friends and I went for a walk to Ghajn Tuffieha but our morning was thoroughly spoiled when we saw an SPCA van stop close to the hotel nearby. Two men in this van were trying to catch a black bitch.

Terrified, this bitch ran away. On seeing this, the men took the puppies and left without this poor dog. Not a minute passed when the bitch returned to be near her puppies, which were gone! The poor dog was desperate; she howled and cried and looked for them everywhere. We could see her overturning stones in search of her puppies.

Had the SPCA people waited for just a minute, they could have managed to catch her. It was heartbreaking to see this bitch, and hear her desperate cries. Tourists tried to feed her as they thought she was hungry but it was not the food she wanted.

It is absolutely terrible to witness. The SPCA should take note of this very sad incident.
