Students are flocking to HSBC branches to open an HSBC YES 4 Students Online Account, getting instant prizes, ranging from iPod Nanos, Packard Bell Vibe 360 and Audio Diva MP3 players, to Badger Karting vouchers, Pizza Hut vouchers and cinema tickets. The students are also enthusiastic about the possibility of winning one of the three Peugeot 107s with full extras, which will be won in a final draw.

The YES 4 Students Online Account is a banking package intended to support students throughout their years of study. The package is also aimed at creating a culture fostering an increase in online and automated service use.

Students can apply for their account by simply logging on to the bank's Website and filling in an online form. The account also carries a three per cent credit rate of interest. A fee free credit card and an interest free overdraft facility of Lm600 are also available for students over the age of 18.

All students over 16 starting studies at a post-secondary or tertiary institution are eligible.
