A delegation of leading French multinational companies involved in the aerospace and security sectors visited Malta on September 21.
The visit came about following the Prime Minister's breakfast meeting in Paris with top businessmen organised at the MEDEF International head office last May. A business seminar was organised, during which the delegation met Malta Enterprise, the Federation of Malta Industries as well as the University of Malta.
Investment and IT Minister Austin Gatt and Parliamentary Secretary Tony Abela also met the delegation.
The delegation was accompanied by the Maltese Ambassador to France, Dr Vicki Ann Cremona, and during its stay was hosted to a reception by French Ambassador Jean-Marc Rives.
MEDEF is the French Business Confederation providing national representation for all large, medium and small enterprises in all sectors (industry, commerce and services). It promotes industrial and commercial agreements for its members, and aims to provide direct and personalised relations at the highest levels of companies, administrations, governments and states.
The visit came about through the concerted efforts of MEDEF, the Maltese Embassy in Paris, Malta Enterprise and the French Embassy in Malta.
