Two men yesterday sat next to each other in the dock and were charged with injuring each other following an argument that broke out over the sale of a garage.
Michael Bezzina, 43, of Naxxar turned up for his arraignment with a bandaged head and sat down next to Etienne Farrugia, 35, of Birkirkara.
Mr Farrugia was charged with seriously injuring Mr Bezzina, while Mr Bezzina was charged with slightly injuring Mr Farrugia and damaging his spectacles in Naxxar on Wednesday. Mr Bezzina was also charged with threatening to kill Mr Farrugia over the past months.
Lawyer Philip Galea Farrugia, for Mr Bezzina, told the court how the incident broke out over a Naxxar garage his client was buying from Mr Farrugia.
The two men were granted bail against a personal guarantee of Lm1,000 each.
Police Inspector Kevin Farrugia prosecuted.
