We have recently visited Malta for the first time, taking advantage of a special offer by a new hotel in St Julians. My husband and I really enjoyed this short summer break. We marvelled at the hospitality of the Maltese people, the many cultural activities, your history and the easy way of life, which is rare to find in European cities.

I would like to mention the highlights of our stay on the warm wonderful island of Malta.

Firstly, the festa in St Julians Bay was a wonderful, colourful spectacle .

Secondly, The City of London pub near our hotel where we met so many Maltese friends who made us feel so welcome and invited us to participate at their annual charity event in aid of Amy Zahra - a tremendous and noble effort by the management of the bar, led by Jenny Clifford and Elizabeth Hardie.

We will return next year as we still have to explore so many other places including Gozo and Comino. Thank you, Malta.
