Malta Amateurs suffer 9-0 drubbing

The Malta Amateurs ended their commitments in the UEFA Regions Cup Mini-Tournament with yet another heavy defeat, this time against the strong Italian regional champions Toscana 9-0 in Wroclaw, Poland.

The Malta Amateurs, who lost their previous two matches by an identical 11-0 scoreline, put up a brave performance but were still no match to the classy Italians who were already four goals up at the interval.

Toscana, who lost to Polish side Dolnoslazski 2-1 and beat Germany's Sachsocher 1-0, needed all three points to remain in contention to qualify to the next stage.
