Malta's U-17 team will be playing two friendly matches against their counterparts from Northern Ireland at the Ta' Qali training grounds on October 3 and 5, both matches starting at 6 p.m.
These two warm-up games are part of the Maltese team's build-up for the Euro Under-17 qualifying group matches, to be held here between November 17 and 22. In the UEFA mini-tournament, Malta, this season under the guidance of young coach Oliver Spiteri, will be facing Andorra, Italy and Serbia.
Boasting a number of players on the books of West Ham, Burnley, Stoke, Linfield and Coleraine, Northern Ireland will surely offer a stiff test for Spiteri's team.
The Irish are also preparing for their Euro qualifying group matches of the same category. The Maltese had turned in some commendable performances when they took part in the Milk Cup in Ireland some weeks ago.
