If your cat is a pretty feline who loves to pose and laps up all the attention then you should consider entering it in the upcoming cat show.
Applications are now available for the cat show/exhibition being organised by the Malta Feline Guardians Club on October 22 at Coastline Hotel, Salina.
The club, the biggest cat organisation on the island, was recognised as a member of the World Cat Federation, which has over 500 clubs worldwide, during the general assembly held in Essen, Germany, in August.
The club's first activity after the summer months is a seminar to be held on October 8 at the Preluna Hotel & Spa, Sliema, at 3 p.m. Groomer Nathalie Berry will be giving useful information on caring for the cat's coat, and two other speakers will be discussing pet nutrition.
Meanwhile, those wishing to enter their cat in the October show have three categories to choose from: pure breed kittens, pure breed adults and domestic cats. The show's main sponsor is Gourmet Gold supported by Micabliss Persians.
For applications and more information about the seminar call Maryrose Zammit on 2124 6453 or Rodianne Caligari on 7963 2236. Alternatively send an e-mail to info@maltafelineguardiansclub.com.
Currently the club is also working on its second International Cat Show, which will be held on December 2 and 3. More information will be given later.
