Francis Formosa (September 25) lamented the absence of the George Cross from a flag being flown during the Independence celebrations mass meeting.

The new generation don't seem to care much about what their forefathers did for their freedom. They would have thought differently had they been involved in the Second World War. To exclude the George Cross from the Maltese flag is to exclude part of the history of Malta.
