Stagecoach Theatre Arts School has engaged the services of British actress Denise Mulholland as the school in Malta opens its doors for its ninth year.
Ms Mulholland will be working both as a tutor and as a consultant and will also be co-ordinating Vocal Aid 2007, the now established annual singing event, which has raised thousands for children's charities.
Stagecoach is the UK's biggest part-time school for the performing arts for children. Worldwide there are over 30,000 students attending Stagecoach once a week.
Stagecoach is now operating from Mosta, Pembroke, Birkirkara, Gzira, Birzebbuga, L-Imselliet and Victoria.
"Stagecoach has established itself as a theatre arts school of quality and integrity," Edward Mercieca, senior principal at Stagecoach, said. "Another great proud moment for us this year has been the casting of three of our students, David Chircop, Annelise Aquilina and Claudia Chircop, in Stagecoach's UK production of Annie."
Stagecoachers attend a session once a week for three hours during which time they will do an hour each of drama, jazz dance and singing.
"It is of paramount importance that the children are enjoying themselves. If it's not fun, don't do it! It is also essential to be disciplined. Without discipline there is no success whether in the theatre or in life itself. At Stagecoach there is a fine balance between fun and discipline," Mr Mercieca said.
