Anybody driving down to Bahar ic-Caghaq cannot help notice the signs warning of speed cameras to get drivers to slow down gradually to 40 kph, which is lower than the top speed allowed on the Regional Road bridge/tunnels.

I thought the idea of a speed camera was to catch drivers who overspeed, but apparently the intention is to slow down traffic movement.

I am not against speed cameras at all but not at the expense of thousands of law-abiding motorists who are on the road daily and have to experience disruption of traffic flow by non-standard speed limits.
