Strikers Giorgos Samaras and Fanis Gekas returned to the Greece squad yesterday ahead of the Group C European Championship qualifiers against Norway and Bosnia, after being dropped for the first qualifier against Moldova last month.

Coach Otto Rehhagel announced a group of 11 foreign-based players and is expected to reveal his full squad later in the week.

Samaras and Gekas missed the first match following Greece's 4-1 defeat in a friendly against England in August.

Both strikers have since enjoyed a good start to their club seasons, Samaras scoring twice to help Manchester City beat West Ham at the weekend and Gekas scoring once in his first three matches for his new club VfL Bochum in Germany.

Greece host Norway on October 7 and face Bosnia away four days later.
