CAMILLERI - CARMEN née Cassar, aged 58, passed peacefully away at Gozo General Hospital, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband Paul, her children Claire and her husband Robert Xuereb, Maureen and her husband Anthony Saliba, Pierre and his wife Daniela, her grandchildren Andrew, Lara, Amy and Elena, her mother and mother-in-law, her brothers and sisters in Gozo, Malta, Australia and USA, her brothers and sisters-in-law, her uncles and aunts, relatives and numerous friends.
The funeral leaves Gozo General Hospital today at 4.30 p.m. for Republic Street, Victoria, from where the funeral proceeds to the Gozo Cathedral, Victoria, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 5 p.m., followed by interment at Qala parish cemetery. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors. Lord grant her eternal rest.
The family would like to thank the staff at Boffa Hospital and Gozo General Hospital for their care and support during her illness borne with Christian fortitude. Donations to your preferred cancer support organisation will be appreciated.

GRECH. On September 24, ANTHONY (Toni x-Xuxi), aged 83, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of the Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Maria, his children Nancy, Mary Rose, Reno and his wife Doreen, Grace and her husband Joe Navarro and Frances, his grandchildren Emanuel and David, John Anthony and Andrew, his sisters and sister-in-law, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends.
The funeral leaves Gozo General Hospital tomorrow at 4.30 p.m. followed by cortege from Republic Street to the Gozo Cathedral, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 5 p.m., followed by interment at Santa Maria Cemetery, Victoria. No flowers by request but donations to Dar Guzeppa Debono, Arka Foundation and Dar tal-Providenza will be greatly appreciated.

ZAHRA. On September 24, at St Vincent de Paul residence, GEJTU of Gzira, aged 95, comforted by the rites of the Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Frangiska, his children George and his wife Agnes, Vince and his son Justin, Joyce and her husband Freddie of Canada, Lilian and her husband Ronald, Charlie and his wife Gertrude, Joe and his wife Doris, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. - R.I.P.

He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Olga née Caruana, his daughter Josette, wife of Gordon Vassallo, his son Dr Stephen Zammit, MD, and his wife Maria, his beloved grandchildren Keith, Mark, Claire and Ramon, his sisters and brothers Tessie, Jane, Mary, Carmel and his wife Josephine and Tony and his wife Marvin, brothers and sisters in-law, other relatives and friends.
Mass praesente cadavere will be celebrated today at 2.30 p.m. at Christ the King parish church, Paola, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza will be greatly appreciated.
Lord grant him eternal rest.

Photography course

A course by Alan Carvill on the use of software to enhance photos using digital techniques is being organised by the Malta Photographic Society.

A compact disk containing the tuition material (course notes) will be distributed. The course starts on October 18 at the society premises in Old Bakery Street, Valletta.

The price is Lm35 for non-members and Lm30 for members of the society. Only limited places are available, so early booking is advisable.

Archbishop's thanksgiving Mass

Archbishop Joseph Mercieca will be celebrating a thanksgiving concelebrated Mass at St John's Co-Cathedral, Valletta, on Friday at 6.30 p.m. on the occasion of the 32nd anniversary of his episcopal ordination.

A Curia release encourages the offering of prayers for the Archbishop's needs and intentions.

It further encourages participation in the Mass.

Mgr Mercieca became Archbishop of Malta on December 12, 1976.
