Seventh season of Tista' Tkun Int!

Tista' Tkun Int! will kick off its seventh year on TVM in a couple of weeks with a prime-time slot on Thursday and a repeat late on Sunday morning.

Emotional reunions, exotic destinations, super prizes and more will no doubt ensure that the show, presented by Malta's favourite presenter Rachel Vella, retains its top spot with viewers.

Explaining why she believes Tista' Tkun Int! is so successful, Ms Vella said: "We give centre stage to stories about the man in the street. People who have a dream, or who may be going through a particularly difficult time. Or even those who have a unique experience to share with others. This is our recipe."

The show highlighted several such stories throughout its last season - a case in point was Eric's story. The young man, who had been adopted by a Maltese couple when very young, managed to locate and meet his natural mother for the first time only thanks to TTI! and only after considerable efforts by everyone involved in this story. In fact this was subsequently voted the top story of the season.

Another story that touched the hearts of many was that of Christian, the altarboy from Fgura who was so thrilled as he realised his dream of meeting Pope Benedict XVI at the Vatican.

New stories and exotic countries hardly ever visited by Maltese are only a couple of things we can expect from the new season of Tista' Tkun Int!

"Ever since the last programme was aired in July, the TTI! team continued receiving hundreds of fresh nominations, each with a touching and intriguing story behind it. Our viewers' needs are becoming more and more complicated and I can tell you that we've had a very tough job with some of the new stories! To date, we have received a staggering 55,000 nominations," Rachel Vella said. "Our team, thankfully, is fully determined and committed and we will not be letting those who have written to us down. We have been working on the stories for a good number of weeks and I can reveal that the surprises will not be missing."

Another aspect that makes TTI! so appealing is that the team's quests often take them to far-flung countries where no Maltese have ventured before. It appears that this is set to continue in this new season.

And of course, the tradition of the biggest and most tempting prizes will also be strengthened once the new season kicks off. No other Maltese TV programme has ever managed to offer viewers so many handsome and valuable prizes as those offered throughout the previous six years of TTI!
