A delegation from the Inter Club Malta last month visited Milan to watch the Italian Super Cup match between Inter and Roma, won by the former 4-3.
During their stay in Italy, the group held discussions with a number of Inter officials. Club president John Zammit headed the Maltese club delegation that also included Lawrence Cutajar (treasurer), Joe Mula (general secretary), Tanya Gravina (assistant secretary) and Lino Gauci (member).
A statement by the Inter Club Malta said that its officials also had the opportunity to visit the club's headquarters where they had a very positive meeting with Stefano Filucchi, Inter's newly-appointed official in charge of foreign relations.
Talks were also held with officials of the Inter Campus project during which the possibility of resuming this venture in Malta was discussed in detail.
The 20-strong Inter Club group also watched a training session of Inter's first-team squad at Appiano Gentile where they also had the chance to meet several players and members of the technical staff.
On this occasion, Argentine midfielder Esteban Cambiasso was presented with the trophy as the 2005-2006 player of the year of Inter Club Malta.
