The Sliema Band recently performed two musical programmes in Budapest, Hungary and Komarno in Slovakia.

Under the direction of Mro Ronnie Debattista, the band played Ernani by Giuseppe Verdi, Ludwig Van Beethoven's Romance, a selection by Robert Stolz and Spanish Gipsy Dance by Pasqual Marquina while the assistant band director Mro Sigmund Mifsud directed the suite Maltesina of Carmelo Pace.

The band was invited to visit Parliament in Budapest, St Stephen's Basilica, the town of Eger, its basilica and the Valley of the Beautiful Lady as well as Margareth Island, Visegrad, Mogyorod, Hungaroring, Godollo and its Royal Palace.
