New head of Maltacom's mobile telephony

Peter Gauci has been appointed director of mobile operations at Maltacom and will be leading the group's mobile telephony arm.

Before returning to Malta after an absence of some 30 years, Mr Gauci held several senior management posts with international companies in the UK and other European countries.

He was a member of go mobile's management team from the company's first days of entering the market and played a key role in the launching of go mobile's products and services.

The company said Mr Gauci feels confident that through its dedicated work force, go mobile will continue to offer leading edge wireless solutions and services for voice and data services designed to meet the business and residential needs of consumers.

"We have made a significant impact on the market penetration and price affordability of mobile services," he said.
