Obituary
FALZON. On September 19, at St Luke's Hospital, RICCARDA, aged 90, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of the Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Tony and his wife Maria, Paul and his wife Margaret, Laurence and his wife Donna, Mary Ann and her husband Stan, Grace, Ronnie and Angela, her grandchildren, relatives and friends. - R.I.P. The funeral leaves St Luke's Hospital today for Sacro Cuor parish church, Sliema where Mass will be said at 2.30 p.m. followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery.

A Mass for the repose of the soul of JULIANA MICOVIC will be celebrated today at 10 a.m. at Sir Paul Boffa Hospital chapel, Floriana. The attendance of relatives and friends will be appreciated. We loved her in life and will not forget her in death.

EU funds website
A website that gives detailed information about the EU Structural Funds that Malta has obtained for 2004-2006 has been launched at www.eu4u.org.mt by the Planning and Priorities Co-ordination Division.
The website gives information about projects that are either committed, currently underway or have reached completion stage. Projects range from the environment and transport sectors, to infrastructure, fisheries and agriculture, on to human resource development, aid to businesses and projects for Gozo.
The site includes a news section, a calendar of events, frequently asked questions, links to other websites and contact in information.
VAT seminar
A seminar on VAT for people working in the retail trade will be held on Wednesday. The participation fee is Lm20 plus VAT for MIM and GRTU members and Lm30 plus VAT for non-members.

Car-free day in St Paul's Bay
A car-free day will be organised in St Paul Street, St Paul's Bay, from Pescatore to It-Torri Street, tomorrow from 9 a.m. until midnight.
Various activities will take place during the day including dancing, football, tombola, painting, exhibitions as well as storytelling for children and performances from the Qawra Scout's Parade and local singers.
Everyone is invited to attend.
Cinema For Mums
The next Cinemum morning will take place at the Eden Cinemas, St Julians on September 29 at 10 a.m.
The Eden Cinemas will screen Over The Hedge and Ant Bully. Nappy changes, bottle warmers, free parking, free tea and coffee and a play area during the interval will be provided.
Adults pay Lm2 and children up to four years go in for free. There will also be an opportunity to win a Lm20 voucher from Little People.

Lottery Fund Donation
Tonio Fenech, Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of Finance, on Tuesday presented a contribution to the Floriana Football Nursery, from the National Lottery Good Causes Fund, at the Floriana FC Football Ground.
He presented the contribution to Dione Borg who was representing the nursery.
Car reported stolen
A black BMW, registration number MRG 050 has been reported stolen from Qui-Si-Sana. Anyone knowing its whereabouts is kindly asked to contact the owner on 9942 4050.
Vocational education
A study visit by eight Kosovar senior officials to Malta to share information on EU vocational education and training polices will take place between October 1 and 6.
The visit is being organised by the European Training Foundation (ETF) with the Malta Qualifications Council (MQC).
The foundation was established in Turin and assists 30 partner countries in developing systems of human resources development. It advises on policies in education and training across regions and cultures.
The MQC and ETF will organise the fifth Regional Seminar on National Qualifications Framework in Malta in December.
Independence Song Contest
Claudia Faniello won this year's edition of the Konkors Kanzunetta Indipendenza. Her song, Ma Nafx, was written and composed by Ray Agius.
Priscilla Psaila placed second with Se Nkun Vicin by Ray Agius and Godwin Sant while Genna ta' L-Art, written and composed by Philip Vella and performed by Cliff Zammit and Annabelle Debono, placed third.
