Voices choir gives blood

Over 40 members of the Voices choir yesterday met for a different purpose before they gathered for rehearsals: to donate blood.

The event was organised in collaboration with the Blood Transfusion Department which made staff and the Mobile Blood Donation Unit available.

This year's charity concert, Voices One Family, will run over 10 nights, starting on October 4.

"During our concerts, we always try to communicate that we all need to give a hand to make our world a better place. So with the help of a large number of choir members, we decided to go for this blood donation drive to give our contribution towards something so important and vital," Voices PR and Media Coordinator Reuben Sciberras, said.

As in previous editions, Voices will have donation lines open from October 1 to October 31: 50049812 for a donation of Lm2, 50049815 for a donation of Lm5 and 50049810 for a donation of Lm10.

Tickets may be purchased from the MCC booking office daily (except Sundays and public holidays) from 10.30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4.30 to 7.30 p.m. or by e-mail: bookings@mcc.com.mt.
