Two Marsascala men were yesterday put on probation for two years after they admitted to stealing a car because they wanted to make use of it on Monday.

Magistrate Antonio Mizzi heard Michael Clarke, 27, and David Sciberras, 20, plead guilty to taking Gaetano Camilleri's car without permission.

The magistrate heard how the two men had a clean criminal records.

Police Inspector Michael Mallia prosecuted.

Lawyer Stefano Filletti represented the men.
