An Egyptian man was yesterday charged with threatening a fellow countryman that he would kill his son following an argument between them.

Ashraf Hafiz Saadallah, 37, pleaded not guilty to using the phone for illegal purposes and, on September 9 and 11, threatening another Egyptian man that he would kill his 14-year-old son.

Mr Saadallah was granted bail on condition that he does not contact the other Egyptian man and was bound by a Lm200 deposit and a personal guarantee of Lm2,000.

Police Inspectors George Cremona and Noel Cutajar prosecuted.
