The executive co-ordinator of the Cottonera, Valletta and Mdina, Ray Bondin, recently chaired a two-day conference on the cultural heritage of Militello and Sicily.

Various representatives from Italian universities and of the super-intendancies addressed the seminar.

Militello was one of eight cities recognised as world heritage sites by Unesco following a report submitted by Dr Bondin. The city is known for its Norman and Baroque architecture.
