I do not wish to be presumptuous, however could it be that the Church is misinterpreting Christ's message of love for his faulty creatures?

Christ did not come to judge us. He ate with sinners and when he broke bread and gave it to his followers He did not distinguish between good and bad. He befriended the bad and weak and when questioned by His disciples He answered that the sick needed the physician not the strong.

He approached the Samaritan woman at the well who was living in sin, asked her for a favour and wanted to give her His love. What more evidence do we need that Christ loves us unconditionally and yearns for our love? Shouldn't we all be welcome to receive Him in the Holy Eucharist without any conditions and whatever our circumstances in life are?

Without Christ we cannot do anything. We cannot promise to change. Feeling that Christ loves us as we are is the first step to change and accepting our neighbour as Christ accepts us. Christ restores our dignity and self-esteem and those being deprived are the ones who need Him most.

If we feel Christ's love we will be more predisposed to go to church and listen to His teaching. So let us not be disheartened, Christ is there for us all.
