On the night of September 7, the Old Power Station situated in the Pinto Wharf zone was transformed into a very large amplifier. Loud music echoed throughout Grand Harbour including Kalkara until 2 a.m.

When open-air concerts are held there the acoustics of the site have to be taken into consideration and with regard to the Old Power Station, the roof composition is definitely not sound proof. This time I think Viset broke its own record.

It seems that another activity is in the pipeline in the form of a huge tent being assembled on Pinto Wharf. During a previous activity also held on the Viset grounds the loud music was toned down soon after the neighbours protested while numerous reports were also forwarded to the police regarding this repetitive nuisance.

In view of the above circumstances the police should prevent the organisers from breaking the law (Code of Police Laws - Ref. CAP. 01, sec 41, p 14) and there should be no need for the neighbours to call the police on every such occasion.
