The Astronomical Society of Malta, in conjunction with the Ministry of Education and the European Association for Astronomy Education (EAAE) co-ordinator for Malta, is holding an in-service three-day training course for physics teachers starting on Friday.

The course, the first of its kind locally, will be organised at the Science Centre, St Patrick's, and will have three theoretical sessions and three workshops; 16 physics teachers from different Church schools are expected to participate.

An astronomy night will also be organised for participants to provide them with first-hand experience of astronomical observations.
