I refer to the article "Health and Safety: reviewing and auditing health and safety performance" (The Sunday Times, September 3) particularly to the second part.

The article makes reference to ISO 18001 but such reference is erroneous since the quoted standard does not refer to health and safety at the place of work but to information technology.

The standard referred to in the article should have read MSA OHSAS 18001 which is: "Occupational health and safety management systems - Specification".

Your readers may wish to know that all standards are available for consultation and for purchase from the Malta Standards Library housed in the Malta Standards Authority, Level 2, Evans Building, Merchants Street, Valletta.
