Three officials from the McLaren F1 Club (Malta), Penelope Ciangura, the chairperson, Simon D'Agostino and Ian Ciangura, recently visited the McLaren Technology Centre near Woking.
While being driven to the reception area in a McLaren shuttle van, the trio got a stunning view of the vast facility which was officially opened by Queen Elizabeth two years ago.
After an architectural overview of the centre, Mark Midgely and Stephanie Grimes led the Maltese through the various departments, including composites, gear-box and race car assembly bays.
The group, accompanied by other Team McLaren Mercedes members, was delighted to see the two F1 cars being prepared for the race which took place in Turkey last month.
On the McLaren Boulevard they had the opportunity to see McLaren's road and racing cars on show, including one of Bruce McLaren's early racers and Ayrton Senna's MP4-8 F1 which he drove during his last year at McLaren.
