The Royal Malta Golf Club (RMGC) will host the BMW Golf Cup International tournament, a competition reserved for amateur players with a certified handicap of up to -28.

The tournament, organised jointly for the first time by the RMGC and local firm Muscat Motors, is open to men and women golfers. Competition will be played between September 21 and 24

BMW have been involved in golf tournaments for the past 20 years now. This commitment not only incorporates the organisation of professional PGA Tour listed tournaments, but also the biggest amateur tournament series in the world - the BMW Golf Cup International.

Prizes will be given to the top three golfers in both men's and women's tournaments at Marsa.

Moreover, the winners will earn the right to take part in the BMW Golf Cup World Final which this year will be played at the Fancourt Hotel and Country Club Estate in South Africa between December 4 and 9.

Organisers said that during the tournament, volunteers from the Razzett Tal-Hbiberija will be entertaining young family members and a BMW Kids 4 Kids racetrack will be set up in the locality.
