I refer to Karm Farrugia's Talking Point: Bank of Valletta Shares (August 26)

I cannot imagine The European Central Bank accepting shares as a guarantee criterion from any government when the said shares are subject to a constitutional court case.

The 25 per cent shares held by the government at Bank of Valletta are subject to a constitutional claim by the shareholders of the National Bank Of Malta. I, as one of the larger shareholders and as a European citizen, would protest if the EU were to accept such an issue while the court case is still pending.
