Promoted Torino have sacked their coach Gianni De Biasi just two days before the start of the Serie A season.
Torino said in a statement that former Milan coach Alberto Zaccheroni would be appointed De Biasi's replacement.
De Biasi had taken Torino back into the top flight last season via the play-offs.
Torino have struggled in pre-season friendly matches though and were eliminated from the Italian Cup by Serie B side Crotone.
Zaccheroni made his name at Udinese before moving to Milan where he won the league title in 1999.
He then had less successful spells at Lazio and Inter.
Torino open their Serie A campaign on Sunday against Parma. The new season begins tomorrow with Inter against Fiorentina and Roma facing Livorno.
