A five-year-old boy is in danger of dying following a collision between a Toyota van and an Opel at the Marsa Crossroads yesterday, the police said.

They said the accident happened at about 3.15 p.m. The van was being driven by a 30-year-old man, the car by a 36-year-old woman who was accompanied by her children, the boy and a two-year-old girl. Both children were in the back seat.

The woman and her children were hospitalised. The van driver was not injured.

Duty Magistrate Miriam Hayman appointed several experts to help in an inquiry.

Police investigations are continuing.
