The Malta Labour Party yesterday launched a consultation exercise on its vision for information technology with a meeting with a delegation from the Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology.
Labour leader Alfred Sant said the MLP was looking at the IT sector from a strategic perspective and the country needed the best possible plan for training in this sector.
Paul Attard, a member of MCAST's board of governors, said the number of students at the college was increasing and had more than doubled since 2001, but there was room for more participation by women.
