122 nominations for TV awards

A total of 122 nominations have been submitted for the Malta Television Awards, to be presented at the Mediterranean Conference Centre, in Valletta, on September 16.

The event, which is being organised by Mermaid Media Entertainment Ltd under the patronage of the Minister for Culture, Francis Zammit Dimech, will feature 36 categories with 36 awards to be won.

The station represented by the highest number of individual awards will win the Television Of The Year Award. The People's Choice Award will be the only one judged by viewers, by voting for their favourite TV personality.

On the night, one voter will be contacted and will receive a Lm1,000 voucher from Vascas Jewellers if the person answers the awards-related question correctly.
