Islands Unveiled at Gallery Art...e

Following his well received first exhibition at Cleland and Souchet at Portomaso in July, Victor Agius is now exhibiting his works at Gallery Art...e in Victoria.

Entitled Islands Unveiled, the exhibition incorporates works depicting the artist's immediate surroundings. The paintings are of familiar landscapes, inspired from urban and rural sites in Malta and Gozo, to which the artist gives a distinctive and spontaneous touch.

The fresh and deviant manner with which he uses colour in his landscapes communicates his mostly emotive and profuse inner self.

Currently his works are also on display at the Heritage Malta buildings in Valletta as part of a collective exhibition being organised by the Ministry of Environment.

Agius plans to further his studies in art and to hold his first one-man exhibition abroad. In August next year, he will hold an exhibition in northern Italy.

Gallery Art..e is in Library Street on St Augustine Square, Victoria. Opening hours are from 9.30 a.m. to 12.15 p.m. Monday to Saturday. On Fridays it will also be open from 5 to 7 p.m.

For more information visit www.victoragius.com or call 7959-4508. The exhibition is open until September 22.
