Germany players will be able to choose their own brand of boots for internationals after the country's Football Association (DFB) agreed a new long-term deal with sponsors Adidas.
Up to now, German players have had to wear Adidas boots when on international duty, even though some have individual contracts with other sportswear firms.
Senior players held talks with the DFB before the friendly against Sweden in mid-August, amid reports of a strike.
The DFB agreed to try to find an amicable solution and yesterday it announced that under the terms of a new contract with Adidas players would be free to choose their own boots. The new contract will see Adidas supply kits to all the main DFB men's and women's teams until 2014.
Germany play Ireland in Stuttgart in their opening Euro 2008 qualifier tomorrow and are away to San Marino on Wednesday.
