The residents of Triq il-Buqrajq, in San Gwann were advised on August 23, that the following morning at 6.45 the road was going to be cleaned and parking lines repainted. All cars were to be moved, otherwise parked cars would be towed.

Well, the men started work at 9 a.m. and after collecting what was months and months of dust, dirt and dried leaves from our forecourt, they dumped the whole lot into our private garden opposite our apartment blocks. When they were approached and asked to stop, they were aggressive and continued with the dumping.

Since August 13 skips have been unavailable and this is encouraging rats in the large garden to proliferate, giving them free meals from the mountain of plastic bags piled up in place of the skips.

Clearing rubbish this way is very unhygienic and the Health Department should do something about it.

The local council is letting us down badly!
