Law against racism

I refer to Martin Degiorgio's contribution (Nature of Hizbollah, August 25). I wholeheartedly agree with his comments and also agree with those who wrote in criticising the protest march in favour of Hizbollah.

I only want to add this. Norman Lowell had been arrested and charged with racial hatred after a public event. Now that the law against racism has been amended, is our spineless government going to take action against those persons who made the Nazi salute during that infamous march? In Europe, especially Germany, anybody making such a gesture is liable to imprisonment.
