Cheap flights

I refer to John Lloyd's letter (What Cheap Flights? - August 28). Britishjet advertises "from Lm14''. That doesn't necessarily mean that all flights are Lm14.

Actually when coming to Malta, Britishjet has flights at Lm8 from most of the 11 UK airports we operate to, so I fail to understand Mr Lloyd's complaint.

With regard to his comments that in the UK Britishjet would not be allowed to advertise at Lm14, may I ask him to look at the UK media, all tabloids, and he will find out that Maltabargains.com, which sells all Britishjet seats from the UK, advertises at £24 one way.

It is true that when one books early, one can find a cheaper flight. In fact certain dates for next summer have already gone up, as the cheap flights are taken promptly. However we do have special offers from several airports, all year round.
