I refer to Rose Agius's letter saying that Qawra needs a council. (August 15).

I kindly inform Ms Agius that during its last council meeting held on August 9, the proposed project in question was not objected to by the St Paul's Bay local council on condition that for the duration of the development the least inconvenience to the residents is caused.

Furthermore, like any other resident and stakeholder, Ms Agius has the right to object to Mepa regarding the said development. It is then Mepa's responsibility to evaluate the feedback received from the various stakeholders. Ms Agius may also wish to note that it is Mepa that certifies the Environment Planning Statement in support of this project and calls for input from the public.

Ms Agius's misconceptions are far from the council's mission statement.
