BRINCAT. On August 14, at Karin Grech Hospital Maternity Wing, to JoAnn née Gingell Littlejohn and Andrea, God's precious gift of a first-born daughter - MARTINA. Deo gratias et Mariae.

BUSUTTIL FITZPATRICK. On August 19, at St James Capua Hospital, Sliema, to Dorothy née Fitzpatrick and Dr Luciano Busuttil, God's precious gift of a first-born son - GABRIEL. Thanks be to God. Special thanks to our family, the gynaecologist and all the staff at the hospital.

FARRUGIA. On August 10, at St James Hospital, Zabbar, to Deirdre née Caruana and Nathan, God's precious gift of a daughter - KEIRA, a welcome sister to Robyn. Special thanks to the obstetrician, midwives Anna Croucher and Anna Calleja and all the staff for making Keira's arrival such a memorable experience.

GRIXTI. On August 8, at St James Capua Hospital, Sliema, to Suzanne née Friggieri and Joseph, God's precious gift of first-born twin sons - LUKA and ANDREA, brothers to Danika and Martina. Thanks to midwives Carmen Scerri and Lillian Azzopardi, the paediatrician and all the maternity staff at the hospital.

LIGHTFOOT. On August 21, at St James Capua Hospital, Sliema, to Michelle née Psaila Manchè and Mark, God's precious gift of a son - JAMES, brother to Emily. Thanks to all the staff at the hospital.

PERESSO. On August 18, at Karin Grech Hospital Maternity Wing, to Giuliana née Fenech and Mauro, God's precious gift of twins - RUBY and JACK. Special thanks to the labour, post-natal and SCBU staff for their devoted care and attention.

UNGARO. On August 22, at Karin Grech Hospital Maternity Wing, to Silvana née Buontempo and John, God's precious gift of a daughter - REBEKAH, a most welcome sister to Shaun and Sarah. Thanks to all the staff at the hospital, especially Ms Catherine Bonnici and Ms Pauline Grech.

Mr KEITH BUSUTTIL and Miss NICOLA PACE The engagement is announced between KEITH, son of John and Louise Busuttil of Upper Gardens, St Julian's, and NICOLA, daughter of Mark and Marianna Pace of The Gardens, St Julian's. Fr Stefan Attard blessed the ring.

OBITUARY

DESIRA. On August 26, at St Luke's Hospital, JOSEPH of Zejtun (ex-chargeman, Dockyard), aged 72, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his great loss his wife Josephine, his children Raymond and his wife Doris, Sammy and his wife Marlene, Marvi and her husband Joseph, Johann and his wife Cynthia and Christopher, his grandchildren Maria Christina, Elaine, Amanda, Sacha, Michaela and Neil, his brothers and sister Frank, Arthur, Terry and Violet and their spouses, his in-laws, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves St Luke's Hospital tomorrow at 3.30 p.m. for St Catherine's parish church, Zejtun, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 4 p.m., followed by interment at St Gregory's Cemetery, Zejtun.
