Fourth year students from the Faculty of Architecture and Civil Engineering at the University of Malta are holding their annual exhibition up to next Sunday in Vault 17 at the Valletta Waterfront.

The work compiled and presented in the exhibition, which opened yesterday, is the result of months of work during the design studio sessions in the 2005/06 scholastic year.

The students come from three different streams: the Architectural Studio, the Structural Studio, and the Urban Design Studio. Together, they promote future talent and present works in the fields of architecture, civil engineering, structural engineering, town planning, landscape architecture and interior design.

The exhibition takes the form of final presentation drawing print-outs that are mounted onto boards, working 3D architectural models and computer generated power point presentations. In this collection of works and presentations, the students deal and aim at creating awareness within present architectural, structural and environmental issues.

The student exhibition is taking place in conjunction with the launch of Architecture Nights 2006, a series of events organised by the Kamra tal-Periti, to be held at the same venue.
