For those who may have missed or would like to experience again the fine wine, delicious foods and great atmosphere at the Delicata Wine Festival at the Upper Barracca in Valletta earlier this month, you'll have a chance to do it all again in Gozo.
Following the success of the festival in Valletta, the Gozo edition is taking place this weekend at the Nadur promenade, which commands breathtaking views of Comino and Malta, in collaboration with Nadur council.
The festival opens its doors on Friday at 7 p.m. and the last wines will be served at 11.30 p.m. before closing at midnight. Over 20 quality Maltese and Gozitan wines are available, and those who wish to try the wines need only purchase a souvenir glass, which is theirs to keep. One can try as many wines and as often as one likes during the evening.
Various local artists will keep the public entertained throughout the whole event. To accompany the wine, there are also a number of food stands offering a variety of exquisite dishes, the most popular being suckling pig.
A seated dining area, The Channel View, gives diners the opportunity to enjoy a fantastic uninterrupted view of Nadur valley leading down to Mgarr.
Diners at the grill will be seated on a first come first served basis - no reservations are accepted. The commemorative wine bottle of the Delicata Classic Wine Festival Kastilja is also available for sale during the festival.
A shuttle service from Mgarr harbour to Nadur will be available throughout the festival. The festival ends on Sunday.
