Charlon Taliana, 28, of Mosta, was yesterday granted bail against a personal guarantee of Lm500 after being charged with threatening a policeman.

Mr Taliana was accused of threatening PC Joseph Cauchi on Saturday, August 19. He was further accused of uttering foul language and breaching public peace.

Supt. Paul Bond, who prosecuted, said the accused told PC Cauchi he would burn him and blow up his house with explosives.

Lawyer Anglu Farrugia appeared for the accused.
