Gozo International Celebration

I am a regular visitor to the beautiful Gozitan village of Qala, especially during the festa weekend. I was impressed with how innovative the people of this village can be. They actually named one of their festa days during the week before, in honour of foreign nationals residing in Gozo. A day of events dedicated exclusively to people like my family and I - how inviting and welcoming!

The Gozo International Celebration was organised with superb professionalism. The very well decorated St Joseph Square and surrounding streets, the newly-lit colourful façade, the fireworks, the music and dancing by the Menhir Folk Group and Qala Band made this year's festa more meaningful and memorable to my family.

The reception held at the end exposed to us the many crafts we had no idea existed on the island. Qala has hit the target: these are just the type of events we who visit or reside in the Maltese Islands are looking for. Malta Tourism Authority please note.

By the way, it would have been nice to meet the new Bishop of Gozo!
