It is the new age of enlightenment where, as consumers we are always right, and always get what we want, or else what we are ready to pay for. And sometimes we get what we definitely do not want, like a mother and baby wallaby caged in a restaurant in Attard.

It's a modern freak show where consumers get more than they bargained for! They can gape and gawk at two animals' imprisonment and despair. Is this the next step in customer service? Is this what is needed to keep the flow of patrons going?

Maybe it is time to take a stand and fight for what is unjust, for what we do not want. In this age of animal welfare awareness, it is a shock to see such a blatant injustice.

I, for one, am taking a stand, and will never visit this establishment again, as will others who feel the same way.
